ChargEco chargers are joining the SP Mobility Network

From 5 October 2026, ChargEco chargers will progressively become available on the SP app and be rebranded as SP Mobility chargers. This means you can charge at more locations using a single app, earn rewards through SP’s ChargeUP Rewards programme, and enjoy more dedicated support from SP Mobility.

The integration will take place progressively over the next few months as the SP Mobility team will be visiting each ChargEco location to perform the integration work. Once a charger has been integrated into the SP Mobility network, you will need to use the SP app to start charging and make payment. In the meantime, you can continue using the ChargEco app as usual until your preferred charger moves to the SP app.

Here are some key dates on the integration process, details on managing any remaining ChargEco in-app wallet balance, and the next steps.

Key dates

  • 5 October 2026: Integration of ChargEco chargers into the SP Mobility network begins.
  • By 30 November 2026: Submit your wallet refund request if you have any remaining balance.
  • By 31 December 2026: Integration of all ChargEco chargers is expected to be completed.
  • 31 January 2027: The ChargEco app will cease operations.

What you need to do

1. Use or request a refund of your ChargEco in-app wallet

You are encouraged to utilise any remaining wallet balance by 31 October 2026 or request for a refund today with no admin fees. To facilitate the refund of ChargEco in-app wallet balances, do note that wallet top-ups will no longer be available in the ChargEco app from 1 November 2026.

To request a refund:

  1. Ensure you have a bank account linked to PayNow. PayLah! refunds are not supported.
  2. Submit the refund form here.
  3. Check that you received an automatic email reply to confirm your submission is successful.
  4. If you expect to continue charging at ChargEco locations before they move, add a credit or debit card as your payment method in the ChargEco app, as wallet balances can no longer be topped up from 1 November 2026.

2. Download the SP app from Apple store and Google Play store

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Yes. You can continue using the ChargEco app to charge until the charger is rebranded. During the upgrade, each site may experience a planned outage of up to 5 hours per carpark location. Once the charger is available on the SP app, you may start charge with SP app.

Please continue using the ChargEco app and follow charging instructions currently shown for that charger. The most visible sign that integration is completed for a charger is when the sticker branding for the charger changes from ChargEco to SP Mobility. Once the charger displays SP Mobility branding, charging will be available through the SP app.

If your vehicle is charging when SP Mobility’s team arrives to begin the integration and rebranding works, we will contact you using the mobile number registered to your account to alert you. We will also stop the charging session on your behalf before the works begin. Any applicable idle fees will be waived at this instance.

If a charger has been integrated into the SP app, it will no longer be available for charging through the ChargEco app. Check the on-site instructions on the charger and the latest app status. The branding for the charger will be the most visible sign whether integration has been completed. If you still cannot start a charge, please contact our customer service hotline at 6916 7799 or email: [email protected] with the charger ID and location.

If you do not already have an SP app account, simply download the SP app and create one before your nearest ChargEco charger is rebranded. This will ensure you can continue charging seamlessly after the transition.

To ensure a smooth transition, ChargEco accounts will not be automatically migrated to the SP app. Customers who do not already have an SP app account should download the SP app and create one to continue charging after the charger is rebranded and migrated to SP Mobility.

Download the SP app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and create an account using your email address. Once your account is set up, you can add a payment method and start charging at SP Mobility chargers.

Sign in to your existing SP app account and charge as per normal.

Your charging history and receipts from the ChargEco app will not be transferred to the SP app. If you would like to keep a copy of your past charging records or receipts, we recommend accessing and saving them from the ChargEco app before the transition period ends.

Wallet top-ups will no longer be available after 31 October 2026. If you use your ChargEco wallet to charge, a minimum wallet balance of $3 is required to start a charging session, and the balance cannot be drawn down below $1. Please use your remaining ChargEco wallet balance or request a refund of your remaining balance by 30 November 2026. Complete this refund form and we’ll process it within 30 days.

Customers can continue charging using a credit or debit card at ChargEco chargers that have not yet transitioned to SP Mobility.

If you miss the 30 November deadline, the refund form will remain available on the website. You may still submit a refund request after the ChargEco app closes by providing proof of your wallet balance.

From 1 December, we will automatically process refunds for eligible users if you have topped up your ChargEco wallet using a credit/debit card within the last one year, or through other payment methods within the last 60 days.

Wallet top-ups will no longer be available after 31 October 2026. Please use your remaining ChargEco wallet balance or submit a refund request by 30 November 2026. If you miss the deadline, the refund form will remain available on the ChargEco website and you may still submit a refund request after the ChargEco app closes by providing proof of your wallet balance.

To support customers during the transition, all refund processing fees will be waived from 21 September 2026 onwards. Prior to this period, a fee of $2 plus 2% of the refundable amount will apply.

Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving a completed refund request form.

All ChargEco charging locations will progressively transition to SP Mobility branding and be onboarded to the SP app. Prior to integration, customers can continue to use the ChargEco app as usual. Post-integration, customers can continue charging with the SP app, with uninterrupted access to charging services.

Eligible first-time SP app EV charging users will receive 500 ChargeUP points (worth $5) after their qualifying first charge with a minimum of 10kWh charge from 21 September to 31 December 2026.

To qualify for the welcome points, customers must be eligible for the ChargeUP Rewards programme and complete their first qualifying charging session on the SP app during the promotion period.

Please note that customers who are not eligible for the ChargeUP Rewards programme are not eligible for the welcome points. This includes certain user groups such as discounted fleet drivers (such as taxi drivers on a corporate discount programme), corporate drivers on backend billing arrangements, and other excluded loyalty programme participants.

Welcome points will be credited by the end of the following month after your first charge.

ChargeUP points can be used to offset the cost of a subsequent eligible charging session.

ChargeUP points are valid for one year from the date they are issued. They can be stacked with other ChargeUP points earned through the rewards programme.

The last day of operations for the ChargEco app will be 31 January 2027 for users to verify that the wallet balance has been updated to $0 on the app.

We encourage all customers to use their remaining wallet balance or submit a refund request by 30 November 2026.
