As Singapore intensifies its effort towards a fully electrified transportation system, ChargEco is committed to address an aspect close towards our hearts – the proper etiquette for electric vehicle (EV) charging.
In collaboration with key governmental figures and agencies, ChargEco recently participated in a crucial workshop aimed at enhancing the EV charging experience.
The event saw active involvement from Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment, Dr. Amy Khor, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Transport; Sustainability & the Environment, Mr. Yam Keng Baey, and representatives from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore. This initiative brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including EV drivers, e-Fleet operators, and charging point operators, to discuss and address common challenges such as EV lot hogging.
ChargEco’s General Manager, Richard Chin, and Head of Operations, Thomas Tong, contributed significantly to the discussions, focusing on collaborative solutions to improve charging practices. The outcomes of the workshop may soon lead to the creation of a comprehensive booklet detailing EV charging etiquette and best practices.
This collaborative effort underscores ChargEco’s commitment to fostering a responsible and efficient EV charging environment, marking a significant step forward in Singapore’s journey towards an electrified future.
